1970s Baseball Tagging Experts Opinions Wanted
I have a pair if Chicago Cubs game used Wilson pants tagged 72 Set 1 38 26. Is the strip tagging - Year, Set Number, Size, Player Number for Cubs pants in this era?

It should be noted that I am in the process of acquiring these pants and they are billed as Billy Williams (#26), but I always thought the Cubs had their strip tagging on pants as "Player Number, Year, Set Number, Waist, Length"

It could be the inseam dimension rather than the player number.
