In 1987, I attended Mets opening day at Shea against the Pittsburgh Pirates. I was only a nine year old kid but was fortunate to have great seats. The fan giveaway that day was this white cap commerating the 1986 World Championship. We were sitting near the Pirates dugout and I, like all kids, loved to get autographs. I used the only thing I could for the players to sign, this hat. One of the Pirates who signed it was a very young rookie with lots of promise, Barry Bonds. The funny part, he signed it "Say no to drugs, Barry Bonds."

This is the strangest autographed item I own.
