    The LA Dodgers sale

$2 Billion dollars. Wouldn't that mean the Yankees would be worth $20 Billion or almost as overvalued as their fans think they are? (Playful jab Yankee fans)

i'm literally at a loss for words when a guy can purchase a team for 430 million, basically run it into the ground and then sell said team for a 1.5 BILLIONS dollar profit!

    Re: The LA Dodgers sale

I think I read that the average MLB club increased by 16% in estimated value last year. The only losers were the Mets (the financial scandal) and the Rays (probably due to poor local appreciation of them.)

In fact, despite the "baseball is dying" group's claims, MLB is objectively thriving at a historical high. It lost its top position among other sports only because it was later that they in finally finding the value of parity.
