    Panik and the Giants have bested the Dodgers 1- in the first two games of the season. Panik is the first MLB player ever to hit a HR for the only run in 2 straight 1-0 games.

    Lebron James passed Michael Jordan and , as of Friday's Cavs game, notched his 867th consecutive game of scoring in double digits, a streak which stretches back to 2007.

    With a double on Thursday, Beltre passed Rod Carew to become the all-time hits leader for a Latin-American player. Beltre is from the Dominican Republic; Carew was born in Panama.

    In the Sixers' regular season finale, a trouncing over the Bucks, Markelle Fultz set the record for the youngest NBA player to achieve a triple-double, doing so at age 19 years, 317 days, surpassing Lonzo Ball, who did so after his 20th birthday last November. FWIW: Lonzo being removed from the record books so quickly has got to REALLY Po his obnoxious Dad, LaVar.

    The Red Sox victory over Baltimore earlier today gave the Red Sox a season opening start of 13-2. That is the Bosox's best start in team history.
