Random crazy trivia fact
This comes courtesy of Sarah Spain; newsreader, weekend talk show host and station hottie at WMVP-AM 1000 Chicago:
Now 49-year-old Jamie Moyer, who started for Colorado on Saturday, has pitched to 8.9% of all MLB players in history who have at least one plate appearance.

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
Here's another one, courtesy of Cubs radio announcer Pat Hughes, a golden voice on WGN Radio 720-AM, though not a hottie (except maybe to his wife):
A bizarre trivia connection bonds Ceci Fielder and his son, Prince. Both father and son Fielder, after their first 1,000 MLB games, had exacty the same number of home runs (232 each).

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
Sorry to disappoint you guys, but she's spoken for. Not married, but coupled with a longtime boyfriend. She is a rising star at the station, though...knows her sports, has energy, a sense of humor, and is involved with other segments of Chicago sports media.

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
Amongst the batters faced in his career, count me among them (in a 1979 Americal Legion game where I went 0-3 against him)......

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
Fun Fact: If Jamie Moyer wins the Cy Young, he'll be the only player to win the award that actually played with Cy Young.

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
I think it's great that women are becoming more commonplace as sports reporters. A woman's intuition allows for them to not suffer from Foot in mouth disease and really, who the hell wants to see these wrinkled, greaseball old fogeys with a face for radio interviewing athletes? I personally have kept my signed photo of Jim Gray in the attic for the last 9 years and never saw a mouse. (A common infestation in my area) Coincidence?

Re: Random crazy trivia fact
As enticing as Sarah Spain is, back to the topic of trivia:
Last night Jonatahn Broxton finished a Kansas City loss to Oakland by hitting the final TWO Oakland batters in the game. Hitting the last 2 batters in a game hasn't happened since 9/2/66, when Al Weis and Tommie Agee were both the victims of HBPs from Baltimore's Stu Miller.
