James Harden of Houston became the all-time single game scorer for the Rockets, dropping in 61 points in Houston's 114-110 win over the Knicks. He also tied Kobe Bryant for the highest single-game point total by a visiting player in Madison Square Garden.

The Indiana Pacers tied an NBA record by sinking 19 3-point FGs in a rout of the Lakers Tuesday night.

It was disappointing, however, when Lebron James of the Lakers, rather than admiring their performance or otherwise acknowledge it, decided instead to make excuses for the team and blame the rout on jet lag.

Smile Tampa Bay hits a milestone only reached 3 times previously

With their 4-3 win over the Kings Monday night, the Lightning became only the 4th NHL team ever to reach 100 points in the standings in their first 63 games of the season. This was done before only 3 times, all in the 1970s; 1976-77 and 1977-78 by Montreal, and in 1971-72 by Boston.

On 3/19, James Harden of the Rockets dropped 31 points on the Hawks in Houston's 121-105 victory over Atlanta. By doing so he became the first NBA player in history to have a 30+ point game against every NBA opponent in a season.

Brewers OF and reigning NL MVP Christian Yelich tied an MLB record on Sunday, becoming the 6th MLB player in history to hit a HR in the first 4 games of the season. No one has ever homered in the first 5 games on the schedule, and Yelich has a shot at setting a new all-time record today against the Reds.

In Tuesday night's win by Oklahoma City over the Los Angeles Lebrons, Russell Westbrook became only the second man in NBA history to post a triple-double of 20-20-20 in a game. The previous (and only) such accomplishment was by Wilt Chamberlain in1968.

The Houston Rockets, in a Sunday rout of Phoenix, broke a record they originally set and then matched during the current season. The Rockets made 27 3-pointers in the game, setting a new NBA single-game record and breaking their own record of 26.

As of the Orioles game last night, Chris Davis broke an MLB record by going 58 plate appearances without a hit (position players only, not pitchers). That passes the previous record of 57 set By Tony Bernazard when he played for Cleveland.
