The Cubs were part of three MLB postseason records in their 8-6 defeat of the Cardinals in Game 3 of the NLDS. The Cubs set two game home run records, setting MLB postseason records of 6 HR in 1 game by a team and, with the Cardinals pair of circuit clouts, 8 by both teams in a postseason game.

Also, Jorge Soler is now the first NLB player ever to reach base in his first 9 plate appearances in the postseason.
