Former relief pitcher Kevin Hickey dies

Kevin Hickey, who served as a pre-game instructor for the White Sox since 2004 and pitched for 6 years in the Majors, died today at age 56.

Hickey came into the majors with the White Sox and threw there from 1981-83, the last being the AL West "Winning Ugly" division title. He then resurfaced in the Majors in 1989 with the Orioles, and pitched there through 1991.

Ironically, just before Mr. Hickey unfortunately passed on, I purchased a 1990 Orioles Game Used jersey of his from a forum member....
