    Billy Wagner Game Hat

    Any thoughts on this? I do not know much on Wagner or hats but pretty cool item. Thanks!

    Nice looking cap but in 1999 Billy Wagner wore a size 7 1/4 not 6 7/8.

    I remember these hats. Had each players signature stitched into the side. I can't remember if they were available to the public. Anyways, as Scott mentioned, not the correct size for Wags and it looks brand new.

    These hats were available to the public; I bought a Bagwell, which I still have. It would be really easy to say that such a hat were game used, when it really was retail.

    The fact that it came from the Curt Schilling collection doesn't automatically mean that the item is game used...just that it very likely came from the athlete. What's to prevent Wagner from grabbing a mint cap of his, signing it, and giving it to Schilling? It's still a nice display item...just not a game used item or at game used price.
