Lets see some Pre WWI bats!!!

Here's one of my favorites. It's a Stall & Dean Jim Delehanty model...very rare and possibly the only one known. The only other Stall & Dean player model bats I have seen are Eddie Collins and Ping Bodie. If anyone has seen or heard of others I'd like to hear about it.

I know that a Tris Speaker Stall and Dean exists. Other than that I can't recall seeing any others than the ones you listed. Stall and Deans are tough! Nice bat !

Here is a picture of the Tris Speaker bat. The four bats mentioned above were all decal bats as well.

I've seen two Ping Bodie Decal bats and only the one Eddie Collins bat. The Collins bat was on ebay and it did not have a decal, but it may have been worn off. I don't believe the Delehanty bat was a decal bat.

Is the Spalding Trademark logo stamped on the knob of your Spalding Larry Doyle bat?

Dan, I think you may be right on the decal part. All the decal one's I've seen had the name stamped in the middle of the bat like the Speaker bat.
Your bat has the name on the end of the bat, very interesting!

Mike, great bats! It's neat to see the different knobs on the bats. I'll try and post some bats this weekend.

Yes, there is a nice stamped Spalding logo. It's one of the heaviest bats I own. Doyle was known for the considerable weight of his bats and it's interesting that Spalding carried that over to the store model versions.
