Found this in Jeters pants...
This was in the back pocket of a pair of Jeter pants I have. It's some type of pad. Just wondering if anyone knew the purpose of it. Looks like one side you could peel off. Is it used in the palm under the fielding glove as extra padding? Or used while hitting?
Thanks!

I was hoping that you found an un-cashed check from 1995.

It looks like it might be a tongue insert that you put on the tongue of your shoe for a tighter fit.

Too bad it wasn't Mariah Carey's phone number.

Re: Found this in Jeters pants...
What you have appears to be a pad placed in the tongue of your shoe to help it not slip - gives you a better fit by pushing your foot back in the heel. Maybe he placed these in the tough of his cleats and this would cause a more snug fit. The wider part is at the top of the tongue.
I too have seen them trimmed and placed in a heel of a shoe to help someone with a narrow heel gain a better fit.
I would be surprised if ever placed in a glove to help cushion the insides.
