Re: LVS Bat Player Name Scrict help???
Hello. It's that way because one player (Jay) has a contract with Louisville Slugger while the other (Holliday) does not. The signature is for contract players, not wood type. Holliday has a contract with Old Hickory so any signature model bats of his will be of that brand. He signed a contract with them in 2009.

Re: LVS Bat Player Name Scrict help???
I may be wrong but isn't it when a player signs a contract with LVS they make the signature model??
If their not a contract player they get the block letter model.-Randy

Re: LVS Bat Player Name Scrict help???
Hi Todd, it has nothing to do with Maple or Ash. If the player has a contract with LVS their facsimile signature is branded into the bat. If the player does not have a contract with LVS his name appears in block letters. Players with Contracts can choose to have their name appear in block if they so desire. The only one I can think of that does this is Nick Swisher.
