Opinion on displaying jerseys with shoulder pads...
Hey guys,
I was thinking of displaying some jerseys with football pads. I was curious if this would have any disadvantages (as far as stretching or strain on the jersey) Has anyone done this before?

Re: Opinion on displaying jerseys with shoulder pads...
I've displayed jerseys on a mannequin with shoulder pads but for only lineman types. They just look better to me that way. I tried some smaller skill player cut jerseys and they are pretty tight fitting. These types of jersey display just fine without the pads.

Youth shoulder pads from the local Goodwill should do the trick 90% of the time. They will fill up the shoulder cut of your jersey without really stretching the fabric much.

Here's an example of youth shoulder pads under a newer, tight jersey. The pads are not stretching the fabric, and I think the shoulders look pretty good.

This jersey had been folded and was just taken out of a bag, so the body is a little wrinkled... But I think you get the point.... And here's a Cal jersey with longer sleeves.
