Question about early 1970s 49ers Jersey (NOB)
Calling all 49ers Gurus:
Is anyone aware of the 49ers experimenting with a smaller NOB font in the early 1970s? Specifically, on the home red Wilson jerseys. The Name on Back in question is a font that is approx. two inches tall. The style of lettering is similar to the larger font I often see, with the ornate extra "legs" protruding from the letters very ornately.
Another interesting thing about the jersey is that this current nameplate replaced another one, but the jersey was doubtlessly worn by the same player. This leads me to believe that the replaced plate featured the NOB with the more common larger font.
Many thanks for your help.... Thanks for looking!

Hi Anthony,
If you have an opportunity, please post a few photos of the plate/lettering.
