Dale Murphy bat records

Hi Mike,
Do you happen to have shipping records for Dale Murphy? I have a g/u bat that I believe dates to the early 80s. It's a large label B310 model.Does that sound right (if you have the records)?
Also, did he order any B267 34", 34 oz. bats?

Hi Jason--

Unfortunately, the only Murphy records I have are from 1973 through 6/12/81, so there are about 12 years missing. Fortunately, however, I can answer part of your question. Between 1/7/80 and 6/12/61 (the first half of the 1980-1983 label period) Murphy was shipped numerous orders of B310 bats for his professional use. During that specific time frame they should be 34.5 inches (10 orders) or 35 inches (1 order) in length and weigh between 32 and 33 ounces. All were Flame Treated Finish and had cupped ends (B310C)

No B267 models were shippd between 1973 and 6/12/81, however there is documentation of two orders of 34 inch bats shipped to him in 1978 and 1979 (B310 - uncupped). That is not to say that he did not order 34 inch B267 bats sometime after 6/12/81.....just that someone else will need to fill in the blank here.
