Ernie Banks Cleats in Mears Auction

I saw these Ernie Banks GU Cleats in the current Mears auction. I was considering bidding, but don't know much about 1960's cleats. Any opinions on the cleats or the likelyhood that that Ernie used them would be greatly appreciated.

Not sure about the cleats but the name written on the tongue looks correct/seems to match photos. I am willing to bet however, that Mr. Cub didn't wear white laces, so I doubt those are original to the shoes. I heard a story once that when Ernie first arrived at Wrigley, he had yellow colored shoe laces but it didn't take long for Yosh to set him straight.
