General NFL 2012 jersey question.. What does the serial# in each 2012 jersey tie back to? Are they like MLB authentication that ties that exact jersey to a game they played??

wow...I was under the impression that a Ray Ray would sell in the 6-8k range? is it the fact that it has the "art" patch, and his first nike jersey that's bumping up the premium???
