Is it just me or does something just not look right?
I was looking at Miguel cabrera photo's to photo match a bat. I am surprised people aren't saying anything about his physical change over the years. It seems to be one of the more major transformations.

I hear what your saying! But honestly, he just looks kind of fat.

I know everyone is under suspiscion these days, but those pictures were taken almost 10yrs apart. I think the transformation is more gradual than shown above. Also, youre talking about a guy who was consistantly in the 30hr's for 8 years before getting to 40 (with PF's protection fot the first time). There are no random 50hr seasons, or an unreasonable uptick. Also, hes long been known as a fatty, not an adonis. But.. Anything is possible.

Anyone care to post images of a Boston RedSox Babe Ruth vs. a 1927 Yanks Babe Ruth? Im on my phone, but i think i remember a big transformation there too.

I think Miggy just likes to eat. He lost some weight this past off season, but you can tell the unhealthy road eating put the pounds right back on him.

Miguel also came into the majors at 20 years old, most people's bodies haven't filled out by that time, it should be expected hs body type would change a bit. That combined with a lot of good meals and for a while, a drinking issue, and he's a big boy. I don't think he's up to anything at all.

His belt size has been what's getting larger, not his head size, usually a good sign he's clean

Manny Machado of the Orioles is 20 years old and looks the same as Cabrera did when he was 20 years old.As a Orioles fan I can only hope that Machado will be half as good as Cabrera in 10 years.
