Oldest MLB World Series Player Dies at 96
Freddy Schmidt, who played for the 1944 and 1946 World Series Champion Cardinals died on Saturday at 96. He was the oldest player that was still alive who appeared in a World Series game-playing in the 1944 World Series. He also played for the 1947 Cardinals, Phillies, and Cubs.
