Anaconda bats
I currently own a Henderson T141 1989 large louisville logo bat. I purchased it from a reputable dealer. The bat also has blue and possible red ink transfer marks. Is there any way to distiguish it from an Anaconda bat and a game issued bat by length/weight?
Also.....what year did the National League switch to the standard MLB baseball used for both leagues now?

Re: Anaconda bats
I can't help you with the Henderson bat information but I can tell that both the American & National League started using one ball was 2000.

Re: Anaconda bats
Hi Nate--
As you know, H & B sold a significant quantity of professional model bats with 1986-1989 label markings to some retailers and dealers. These bats are commonly referred to as Anaconda-Kaye bats because Anaconda-Kaye Sports, Inc widely offered these mint pro bats to the public. In addition to the 25 or so commonly known players whose bats were sold, Anaconda-Kaye also sold Rickey Henderson (T141) and Bo Jackson ((B310) bats with the jumbo LOUISVILLE lettering on the back side of the barrel. The jumbo lettering appears on authentic pro individual player 1989 All Star and post season bats, as well as the Henderson and Bo Jackson bats offered by Anaconda-Kaye.
Specific for Henderson, the following orders of T141 were sent to Anaconda-Kaye. It is uncertain whether all bats had the jumbo lettering, or only some of them:
12/12/88 T141 34" / no weight Black Finish 24 bats
06/16/89 T141 34" / no weight No Finish 72 bats
11/22/89 T141 34" / no weight Black Finish 48 bats
Note- Between 2/15/90 and 10/2/80 an additional 676 Henderson T141 bats were shipped to Anaconda-Kaye, all 34 inches with no designated weight, and a Black Finish.
During the 1986-1989 labeling period, Henderson's professional model T141 bats shipped for his personal professional use were either 34 or 34.5 inches in length with weights between 31 and 32 ounces, with the following finishes: None, Hickory, and Black.
Good Luck in future collecting.
