    What is this?

Brethren - Check out this Mariners jersey. I've seen jerseys that indeed look like MLB jerseys (like this Mariners jersey) but have the cheapo colored tag on the bottom front. Anybody know what these are?

But the lettering and numbering look (to me) exactly like the real deal. Yet the tagging does look retail.

The lettering and numeral font look great, but here are the five problems I see:

        1. Retail tagging
        2. No year tag
        3. Possibly the wrong manufacturer (I think Rawlings made this style of jersey for the M's during this entire period... not 100% sure though)
        4. Too little spacing between the "Mariners" and uniform number on the front
        5. Numbers on the back are too high, unable to accommodate an arching player nameplate on back

Here's a game-used Jack Perconte jersey from the same era:

          Anthony:

You are correct. That style was exclusively the work of Rawlings for the home version (the corresponding powder blue alternate was the work of Wilson).
