Rockies Fan Fest 2013!!!

Ooops!

I forgot, they're not having one this year because they are remodeling the Suites at Coors Field and don't want to do an 'off site' Fan Fest at the Convention Center (14 blocks away) or anywhere else.

They said they plan to have a 'Fan Fest' during the All Star break (July 15-18). Really?

1st, will MLB be okay with a team having a Fan Fest that might keep some fans from going to the ASG Fan Fest?

2nd, who will be there? Are the Rockies going to REQUIRE that their players give up their 'break' to attend Fan Fest?

3rd, any All Stars won't be there - from the MLB club or MiLB clubs due to their All Star Game commitments.

Last year's 'Year of the Fan' promotion was a joke and this year's 20th Anniversary promotion probably won't fare much better.

Like every year, Opening Day and Fireworks games are by a Lotto Drawing for the chance to buy, but they also made all the New York Yankees games, all the Chicago Cubs games and the final 2 Home games (Boston Red Sox) Lotto Drawing for the chance to buy tickets as well.

The only upside is that for the 1st NINE Sunday home games, they are giving away Bobble Heads. Yes, a 9 piece Bobble Head Collection!

Makes it hard to read the other 'Fan Fest' posts...

Two positives could be less people in the game used section and second maybe they would have items from this season for sale.
