To me it looks 100% legit.

It's a real Cubs jersey...of Alvin Dark, not Santo. Dark was in the college of coaches, and wore #55 (seen in the collar strip tag) in 1965. Santo took a 42 in flannels, not a 44, and the 1 on the back is an incorrect font. Either the jersey was sent to the minors or it was doctored by a previous owner to appear as a Santo, but it was never worn by the HoFer.

I believe if Dave has issues with the jersey, then there are genuine concerns as no one knows more than Dave about such jerseys.
