What's the best way to clean an old baseball glove?

I have looked on line but am unsure what may be the safest way to remove dirt and grime. Saddlesoap? Thanks!

Oil soap works pretty good, Lexol works great as do many of the cream hand cleansers.

I start with a tooth brush on the tough stains in the pocket then switch to an old sock turned inside out for the last few scrubbings. Inside out works well because it's a bit more course.

I've used Rawlings "Glovolium" on several Gloves. Cleans & softens & it`s one of the Cheaper Glove Products. Worked well on a 20+ yr. old Glove, even helped removed some fresh Ink.

This is an awesome post! I'm sure this has been covered before, but I have a glove from the 1920s and don't want the leather to dry out too much. What would be the best product to keep the leather soft, but will not cause any staining or any other damage that could ruin the glove? Thanks in advance.

I've been using vasoline for 15 years on my gloves with excellent results.
