Re: Lelands Current Auction Items
Mike-
Great research!
A fellow Forum reader indicated he returned this particular jersey as he thought it was a salesmans sample. I'm sure this collector is now crying in his Cornflakes this morning, however, it proves once again that doing your homework, and spending the needed time to research game used equipment is mandatory.
On a related issue, what type of LOA's does Leland's provide with your game used auction items?
Thanks for taking the time to contribute to the Forum and for answering questions.

Re: Lelands Current Auction Items
Howard,
WE, which is a key word, guarantee the authenticty of the game used and all other materials that we sell for a period of three years following the date of the sale. We feel that this is more than adequate time for the purchaser to get second and third opinions if they feel inclined to do so. If the purchaser finds that we made a mistake and the item was not as described in the catalog, he or she may return it for a complete refund. And, we have made mistakes and we have refunded money. For us, it is very important (financially) to make as few mistakes as possible and to look at the items very carefully before we sell them. It is also important for us to pay attention to what other collectors and specialists are saying on boards like this one so we can avoid making any costly errors and provide the hobby with some outstanding items at the same time. With that being said, thanks to all who have brought issues to our attention.

Re: Lelands Current Auction Items
Howard,
Sorry, I forgot to answer your question concerning LOA's. Some of our customers request LOA's which is the only time that we issue them. We ask our clients to keep their invoices just in case they find that we have made and error. The invoice is just as good as the LOA in that it shows that the item was purchased from us.
