The tail tag is consistent with pro-issue jerseys. I'd have to research to see if this one is sized properly at a 42 (and not an off-sized pro cut jersey), but the 49ers did use adidas in 2001. There's at least a possibility that it's a team piece.

The jersey looks team issued but not game worn from what I can tell.

Based on photo's from 2000 through 2002 of Jeff Garcia wearing Adidas jerseys, they all appear to be shortened since he wore them loose and not tucked in...
