basketball jersey tagging

i know they have issued/used baseball jersey's with tagging from previous years and issued them to player's that were not on the roster at the time they were originally issued, that are legit. has anyone heard of this happening to a mid 90's basketball jersey? if so can you post an example.

this happened often with laker jerseys, especially in the last year of Champion in 96-97. From that year I have a Horry tagged 95/96..Horry was added to the team mid-season from a trade with the suns. I also have a van exel used in playoffs that year with a jersey that was made for the 90/91 season
