Red Sox Tribute Jerseys
For the home games of 4/20-21, the Red Sox wore special home jerseys with BOSTON acros the front instead of the standard RED SOX:
While Dustin Pedroia here has the Boston Strong memoriam patch on his jersey (somewhat obscured by the Getty watermark) some players wore the patch, and others didn't. (see Andrew Bailey):

Re: Red Sox Tribute Jerseys
I wonder if the patches were ironed on? During the game I saw a couple that that looked like they were ready to fall off, so maybe that was the case in the picture you posted?
p.s. the first pic is Daniel Nava.

Re: Red Sox Tribute Jerseys
I talked to the Royals game used people and they told me that this patch was more of a sticker and not sewn on. Also they said they were not selling these jerseys because they did not want to profit off of a tragedy. Not sure Bostons were the same as the Royals in regards to being a sticker. But the Royals ones were.

Re: Red Sox Tribute Jerseys
It is a STICKER patch.
It must have done in an emergency kind of way - just a quick iron on sticker.
But seriously, how long would it takes a seamstress to do a quick stitch on those patches? A minute each?
