Shout out to Paul Goldschmidt (AZ D-Back's)

Last weekend, the Rockies hosted the D-Back's at Coors Field.

On Sunday (which is always 'Autograph Sunday at Rox home games), we were on the field behind home plate getting autos.

Didi Gregorious (my thoughts go out to him after getting beaned by Josh Outman last night at Chase) signed for us from the D-Back's, but what Paul Goldschmidt did for me was awesome.

When he got to where I was standing, I realized all I had left was an ROLB3 ball that I had picked up during BP at the Air Force Academy a few weeks earlier.

Paul had a used BP ball in his back pocket.

I told him what I had, and he offered to trade me as he just needed a ball to put in his glove for travel. So he pulls out the OMLB used BP ball (grass stains, etc), sweet spots it and takes the OLB3 ball to put in his glove for travel...

Awesome move by one of the more down to earth players I've met over the last few years.

Nice story Smitty.. Are you in Denver? I am looking for a Rosario bat if they are not too expensive yet. Do they have any at the team store?
