J Brooks Jersey in Historic Question
Hello everyone
Having trouble with the placement of a tag in the photos for the Historic Auctions jersey of James Brooks.
Here are my questions
In the photos, there is a Koch sporting goods tag and a sand knit tag.
In the wide shot, you cannot see the sand knit tag. is this photo from another jersey?
Here's the link

Also is this the same jersey which was won by jdowntown2001 on ebay?
If so, the description of that one says Russell Athletic tag removed, but Koch Sporting Goods local distributor tag still remains.

I have submitted these questions to historic but am still waiting for my last 10 questions on other matters to be answered.

Re: J Brooks Jersey in Historic Question
Eric,
Interesting.....There is also a Jim Kiick jersey in that same auction that the tag is missing.A similar Kiick jersey was sold on E-Bay back in Dec 2005 (?) with proper tagging. The buyer of the EBay jersey is the authenticator of the one in Historic.I have no doubt the jersey is good.Is it the same jersey as the one on E-Bay?Is it possible that someone removed a vintage tag from the jersey, sell the jersey then apply the vintage tag to a fake jersey and sell that one as vintage.1 jersey equals 2 sales.Unfortunately I couldn't find the e bay listing. Just wondering........................

Hi Carlos, you said that there is no doubt in your mind that the Kiick is good. What season do you think it is from?

Re: J Brooks Jersey in Historic Question
During the years that Brooks player for the Bengals 84-91 they wore Russell (early) & Champion (late). He also cut the sleeves off. I have attached photos of the one that I got from coach Dick Selcer's family.

Well, it only took 12 days but i finallly got a response to my question about this jersey. Apparently the Sand Knit tag photo was from another jersey and has since been corrected on the website.
No word on the other oh, half dozen (at least) questions.

My guess is '70 or '71.You can find pics. of players in 72 wearing jerseys from 71.The price is up to $2500.00.Out of my league.
