PSI Erving Jersey On Ebay
This is a store bought Erving jersey from the late 80s. I have a couple of these myself. They came with no name on back, so the manufacturers put the 6 higher than it would be on a gamer. To make mine a little more visually appealing, I lowered the back numbers so I could add ERVING in the proper spot. Whoever built this one, obviously opted for squeezing the name in the given space. Tags look to have been changed/added.
But I guess they don't really come right out and say "game worn" or "game issued".

Re: PSI Erving Jersey On Ebay
Yup, they are selling it as a "game" jersey, and without the word "used" they really are doing nothing wrong. Now, they do make it clear that they specialize in "game used" jerseys, but never do they claim this to be game used.

But with the year tag and team tagging, I think we know what they are trying to imply.

What are they implying?
You know what happens when you make an assumption?

Re: PSI Erving Jersey On Ebay
IMO, this is careful attempt to misrepresent an item. Why would someone add a year and team tag to a retail jersey?
And why won't the seller respond to my email?

I don't know and I don't know.
I just was making the point that they never once state this item to be game used.
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.

The addition of the NOB is one thing, but the addition of the year tag is forgery.

Re: PSI Erving Jersey On Ebay
The good thing is they didn't list the item in the Game Used Items category.

Winning bid: US $355.85
Someone just paid around $300 more than what this item was worth.

Re: PSI Erving Jersey On Ebay
In another thread, I commented on an 80's Montana jersey from PSI.
To help substantiate my claims, I provided 20 dated photographs.
My post caused Chris Cavalier to say "before someone posts something that can have an adverse affect on someones livelihood, I think they need to be absolutely sure and need to present better evidence.."
So Chris, what do you make of the 'evidence' in this thread, which I see has failed to elicit a comment from you (or Eric) 8 days after it began?
Somehow, this thread didn't elicit any comments whatsoever from you regarding 'good evidence', yet my post where I had 20 photos for a single font issue did.
Hmm. My mother always said I was special.
