silver paint pen or black sharpie for football?

I know what pen to use for an autograph on a baseball- but what is best for an official NFL football( silver paint pen or black sharpie)?

Does the silver paint pen last indefinitely? Do you need the right light or angle to see the inscription at its best? I noticed it shows best if reflecting light which itsnt needed with sharpie.
