Hello everyone-

I wanted to pass something along to you.

A person who is new to the hobby came across the forum, emailed me photos of a Stephen Jackson game used jersey which is currently for sale at Steve Misturini's AuthenticSports to ask my opinion before spending the money.

Mr. Misturini claimed this came from a Rams teammate and was charging $1800 for it

According to the seller, the jersey shows some good RB wear and is autographed with jackson's name, number and g/u 05. See photo below

A few minutes of research showed that a Stephen Jackson game cut jersey was sold on ebay by NFL Auctions (rams-auctions) item # 170020206191 to user gingerine98 for $406 with this photo

Note the lack of the inscription. Here is a side by side comparison of the jerseys.

I sent the photos back to the buyer so he could make his own decision on what to do.

The autos look similar but not identical to me. The "J" in Jackson looks more oval in one while the other looks more round. Also, the straight, downward part of the "9" looks to curve slightly to the left in one while goes straight down in the other.

I see what you are talking about with the "J" but that is probably the illusion of the 1st jersey being flat and the one with the g/u 2005 inscription being propped up on something causing a change of angles. If you look at the location of each twist and turn in relation to the stitch marks the signatures seem to line up perfectly.

The statistical probability signing thru the same stitch marks seems very very remote in my opinion.
