Titans jersey question

So I bought this 2006 titians jersey but it is kind of odd. First off it came with a removed name plate of a player I can't find at all.


Second they replaced the number but instead of removing the number they sewed a huge piece of jersey and covered the old number. The old number used to be 72(7 still under the piece of jersey) but now is 12. Also the nfl shill and one side logo have been blacked out with black fabric. Anyone know why?

Odd. FWIW, I can't find any reference to this player either. And what are the odds there would be 2 players with this last name (to require the first initial)? I can only guess that a fan was working on a custom jersey for themselves.

Agree with BrianK. Someone most likely modified it for personal use. The Titans 2006 roster lists #72 as Seth Wand, an OT out of Northwest Missouri State.

According to Pro Football Reference, the only Schleicher to play in the NFL was Maury Schleicher from 1959-1962 for the Chicago Cardinals and L.A./San Diego Chargers.

So maybe it was a wand jersey back in 2006. Do you think the team did the number/sewed added jersey change or maybe the fan if that's who name plate it is? I'm not a Titans or nfl jersey expert. Lol.
