Sam McDowell Jersey on Ebay...

Is not a Sam McDowell jersey. You can see the lettering has been removed and some other name was there looks to be an "RIA". It was possibly a coach at the time due to the fact that no one played in that jersey number from 73-77. It is a shame because i would have loved to own the jersey but now it is ruined.
Always buying Cleveland Indians gamers if you have them!

I agree that it is not a playing jersey worn by McDowell. This company specializes in items bought from players, however. My guess is, based on the lack of a tail year tag, this jersey was issued in 1975 and was worn then or slightly later by Sudden Sam in an Old-Timers event.

Thanks for your input guys and i contacted the seller.
He said the last name is "RYAN" on the jersey. Must have been a coach or something around that time because i do not even see a player wearing that name.
