Re: Equipment Blunders
A Mike Brumley Red Sox bat misspelled and featured in Sports Illustrated. Also my first game used bat.
I collect Red Sox game used bats and I am looking for bats used by Ray Webster, George Smith, Ken Poulsen, Felix Mantilla, Carmen Fanzone, Chuck Goggin and Luis Alvarado. Soxbats at aol dot comComment

Re: Equipment Blunders
One time Zack Greinke wore the wrong uniform with the Brewers. The Brewers were wearing their blue alternates with "Brewers" on the chest, but Greinke wore the next days specialty jersey that read "Bierbrauer". Both jerseys have the same font etc. So at first glance they look the same.
No one noticed it until he went into the game to put down a sac bunt. As most know starting pitchers usually throw on a fleece on days they don't pitch so there was no way for anyone to catch it prior to him running onto the field.
It was pretty funny and a unique occurance to say the least.Comment

As the White Sox new manager in mid-1986, the late Jim Fregosi's initial set of jerseys had a NOB of FREGSOI.
