Thumbs up VSA: Berra coach's jersey...RED FLAGS

This jersey has questionable tail tagging: a year tag with a font unlike known genuine 1977 Wilson Yankees jerseys, and the Wilson tag is the post-1978 variety (in a 1977 jersey)

Also, the Letter of Provenance is about as informative a dog telling his owner what he wants for dinner.

It looks as if VSA is now referring to it as a "Professional Model" jersey but I think that's even stretching it too much.

I also contacted VSA, but regarding the Johan Santana jersey they have listed.

The FRONT jersey numbers are incorrect, as they should be white outlined in red on the Twins home alts.

VSA replied to me but commented on the jersey script, not the front numbers. I replied on Wednesday stating that the front numbers, not the script, was the issue. They since haven't replied to that email. Below was their response to my first email:

Hey Joe- From 1998-2009 the Twins home blue alternates were "TWINS" red on white. From 1997-2008 the road blue alternates were "MINNESOTA" in white on red that you are referring to. There is no LOA to directly verify use by Santana. It is definitely a professional model jersey made for him. All we can really do is describe the jersey as being professional model/made for him and describe the use without seeing come directly off of his back. You do have 30 days from the time you pay and receive the item in which you could show it to an agreed upon third party authenticator. For jerseys, that would be someone like MEARS.
Again, the term professional model is used, but it is unclear what exactly VSA means in using that term

They use that term so they do not have to take responsibility if the jersey is fake. Ever since the owner Steve Jensen admitted that between July of 2007 and July of last year, he participated in a scheme to sell ordinary replica jerseys made to look game used. Ever since then this is how they describe their items.
