Paul O'Neill Game Used Young PO Y12 bat
I picked up a Paul O'Neill game used bat very much like this one that sold at Goldin http://www.goldinauctions.com/lot-5944.aspx except mine is not signed. Has same tape job and knob markings. Does anyone know what the one for Goldin sold so high? Is that a normal price? Was thinking not but was wondering what a value could be? Thanks!
Best photo until i receive the batJason Perlman

Most O'Neill bats I've seen go for 450 or so. Those were all lvs though.

Re: Paul O'Neill Game Used Young PO Y12 bat
maybe someone paid a premium for an atypicl o'neill bat
so far as i know he was an LVS 243 guy for his yankee career
i did see 1 sam bat sold by steiner several year ago from 2001 season without tyoicsl tape job that sold for equally big dollars
a cArolina clubs bat with usual tape job has also sold within past few years

Thanks PJB. I was curious if it was the type of bat, or if maybe the Goldin bat has special significance but I hope it's just the fact it is a Young bat.. haha.

Is it the one that is now already listed for sale on eBay?

Yea, unfortunately I didn't get feedback here so trying to see if all ebay will be traditional offers, meaning its just a typical bat which I will probably keep, but if its something that is worth near Goldin prices, hard not to sell to just get a LVS or something low-end with some money to spend on other items.

PSA grading at 8.5 certainly adds some premium.
Goldin's clientele are not the same folks bidding on ebay.metsbats86@aol.com

Re: Paul O'Neill Game Used Young PO Y12 bat
Thanks, David! I totally agree was just curious if it was the Young Brand bat that made it so expensive or another attribute. If it is just the Young bats get a premium price i would auction it however it there was something to the Goldin aside from the Young brand (special game, etc) then I would probably keep it as I paid about fair market value for the bat, rather than a premium price. Hope that makes sense!

It's interesting that Young bats are certainly an off brand for O'Neill.
Typically off brands would bring a lower value.
The fact that he autographed it game used 1999
as it was a WS year too doesn't hurt the value.metsbats86@aol.com
