Eddie Mathews bat in Mears
This bat is labeled as being a '56-'59 era bat:

But be aware if you have bid or may bid, this is actually a 1960 specific bat based on the labeling. I believe a decent portion of value leaves then because the late 50s for Milwaukee covers two WS years and their big WS winning year. The 50s bats are also generally tougher to find as well.

They usually aim the labeling year that will make the most money. Even tho they are technically advertising this in the correct years, they are pointing it towards, like you said, WS yrs, that will bring in more money.
I've noticed they've done that before on MVP and batting title yrs too! Technically correct, yet very misleading.

Ben,
How do you know it's from just 1960? Isn't the label 1950-60?

Re: Eddie Mathews bat in Mears
Ben, you're seeing the "Genuine" that started in 1959?

Re: Eddie Mathews bat in Mears
A couple variations beyond the center brand narrow it down further. The "GENUINE" on the barrel changes in font style in '59 and the "Powerized" is a straight line variety on 1960 bats.
I'll add a picture of it....

The change in the Powerized in 1960 made it a noticeably straight line
