    Re: A Shill Bidding Spectacular

That guys always shilling and trolling.

He once offered me $50 for a jersey I sold for $300.

Another time I bought a jersey for $60, then got refunded. Turned out he offered the seller $75 to sell it to him instead.

Then listed it as a $150 buy it now.

    F* that guy.

Be very careful with this guy. He has been mentioned before on these forums.

You should just bid like 50,000 and not pay...it's not like eBay does anything about it. They never do on guys that don't pay me.

...you are correct. Ebay has no bite against bidders and barely a bark. But gawd forbid you not pay your invoice to ebay in a timely manner---they take right out of your account. Why can't the street go both ways?!

I played his game for a while when I suspected I was being shill bidded against. So I played along and kept bidding to jack up the price and get him excited. Then when the auction entered the final day, I withdrew my bids. The jersey was soon relisted the next time around.
