Opinions on Babe Ruth bat on ebay

Any opinions on eBay item 311045103270 ? It just ended for 36k. I just quickly looked at the shipping records and I didn't see any 35" bats ordered during the labeling period. I may have missed something though.
    Thanks,
    Jimmy

Here is a MEARS post that talks a little about 35" bats:

I'm not an expert either, but I agree that this bat is from '23-'25. And like you mentioned, didn't see any 35" bats ordered during that window. Furthermore, did not see that he ever ordered "his model #1" (Model R2) at that length.

With multiple bids north of $30K, I have to be missing something. Always looking to expand my knowledge of game-used bats, so any insight would be greatly appreciated.

From the above link Mears states that from 1923-30 Ruth ordered bats weighing 36-42 inches. Didnt this bat weigh 43.6 ounces??

Mears must have missed that Ruth ordered bats weighing 43-44 ounces in 1925 (as pointed out by Vince Malta) with n/s (non specified) length. Could this have been one of those bats??

I don't think so. I don't have the PBOR in front of me, but I believe that the order with the non-specified length was not for the R2 model.

I was leaning toward this being a pro-stock bat from Ruth's playing days. It seems odd that someone would knowingly sell a GU Ruth bat via eBay with no authentication. I wonder if PSA has ever seen this bat..
    Thanks,
