    Ken Boyer Cap-Ebay

    Is there anyway to know if this was actually used by Boyer? Any help is appreciated.

    I don't understand what the "18" stands for after the size and before the Rawlings tag. If that's a uniform assignment number, wouldn't that mean the hat was issued to one of the following players who wore #18 from 1955-1965:
    Mike Shannon (1963-1970)
    Leo Burke (1963)
    Craig Anderson (1961)
    George Crowe (1959-1961)
    Hal Smith (1956-1958)
    Nelson Burbrink (1955)
    Del Rice (1946-1955)

    Anyway, one could start with elimination types of questions:

    1) Did the Cardinals use that style of cap from 1955-1965?
    2) Did the Cardinals or Boyer mark caps in specific ways to indicate it was his cap?

    There is a hat attributed to Bill White from the same seller that is absent a number after the size:
