    Bret Saberhagen LVS M110 (1983-85)

Wondering if any records show that Saberhagen ordered bats this early in his career. Specifically an M110 model, circa 1983-85. Many thanks!

Bat is good, just not used.

    That's what I figured.... Thanks!

I'm wondering how many bats he may have ordered, as he never went to the plate for the Royals, or in the minors! Interesting.

You're right.... Eight plate appearances in the 1985 World Series.

    Pure genius.

Good call. I have an unused Dave Stieb, Jays bat that must also be from that era (damn KC!).

I found Game 7 of the '85 Series on YouTube. It was interesting to see Saberhagen use Hal McRae's batting helmet each time he went up to bat (the number "11" was on the top of the bill).

I also noticed that Saberhagen used someone else's bat, too. It was loaded with pine tar and seemed to be well-used.

Haven't found and Game 3 footage yet... Would be interesting to see if he also used the same bat and Hal McRae's helmet for that game.
