80's HB bats with no model numbers?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll..._promot_widget
This 80's Boggs bat has no model number on the barrel like a pre-76 HB.
I've seen some 80's bats w/o model numbers.
Anyone know what these are?
Thanks
David

I am also interested if anyone has any answers. I have a Fred Lynn bat that fits this aswell. I recieved the bat as part of a group purchase from a reputable dealer.

According to the lady at Louisville Slugger, those are auto model bats and are NOT shipped to players. In past conversations with Bushing and Taube, both said that they wouldn't pick up one of those bats unless it was handed to them directly by a player.

Thanks Ken. I suspected these were show bats.

OK, I'm at work. Why are you surfing the internet at 1:40 am on New Year's eve? Aren't you supposed to be at some party wearing a lampshade or something??
Happy New Year,
