Also, this seems to show the same patch from the jersey I posted and says the dates were September through December that the NFL honored the 75th anniversary:

Should have done this all in one post, sorry.
Two more images from that season of Atkins and Marino.
No dates on Marino's patch or any other patches I looked at for the season.
