Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
I've been doing some research on game used footballs and somewhat ran into a wall, figured I'd ask the experts over here. I recently got this football and I've been trying to figure out what game(s) it was used in. I've been able to find some pics that look close (they could very well be the ball). I'm stuck with who the referee marks belong to as well as the 51 designation. I checked the referee game list but I couldn't tie a mark to a referee. I'd appreciate any information you guys might have. Thanks in advance!

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
It would be during the NFLs annual Salute to Service games in November being that the ball has the camo ribbon. This season it was November 2nd thru the 23rd or so. So if it's a 2014 ball look for a game in that timeframe maybe?

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
Looks like Carl Cheffers did the Broncos Raiders game 11-09-14. He is #51.
Hope that helps.

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
I think the "Sid" is a tribute to Sid Semons. He passed away earlier this year. Just a guess...

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
Did you buy it off ebay? I know people made a thread about a seller on ebay who was selling faked game used footballs and also a fake derek jeter bat.

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
No, I didn't get this from eBay. I can guarantee this one is real.
That would make sense, I was looking at the referee names and couldn't come up with anything close
This also makes sense, I was wondering what the 51 meant. Thanks!

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
Date code on ball is FS. Ball was issued for the 2013 season.
Maybe ball was reused for 14 season but who knows.

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
Not sure if it helps at all, but there's a CJ Anderson game ball on NFL Auctions currently with the same "Sid" inscription above the "Broncos" stamp.
Also, if you have access to any more Broncos balls in the future I'd be interested in purchasing, and would be willing to include a finders fee if needed.
Thank You,
Seth

I'd also be interested in one if you find another for sale. Don't trust the ones on eBay. Thanks boblee89@yahoo.com

Re: Denver Broncos Game Used Football Question
I don't trust ones on eBay, I purchased one a while back. I got lucky, it was a good ball (even had the player that signed it, verify it for me).
I'll have to take a look at that one. This ball was given to me by a player on the team. I've never asked him for anything in the past but I wanted one of the Salute to Service FB's. I thought he was going to grab me a new one. Instead he gives me this one, needless to say, I was more than happy.
The guy who gave it to me said there's boxes of FB's in the back, a bunch being brand new. Maybe you're right, could've been sitting there from last year.
