    The player who originally made the Louisville Slugger P72 famous, Paul Dade. I believe H & B retired the model number because of him.

    Dated to 1979 from the 00 on the knob which he wore with the Indians and 4 at the top of the barrel as a Padre.

    This style is getting very difficult to find . . . 1980 Bill Fahey.

    What I remember of Fahey was that he had braces. As a kid I had ever seen an adult, let alone a baseball player, with braces. Very interesting at the time.

    You can see it on the 1980 Topps card.
