Picked up a Scott Patterson jersey today looks like I may have photo matched it but the year in the game picture was September 2008 but the jersey has a 2009 tag I'm so confused. Why would this be?He only played for 3 games so I can't think they made him many jerseys? The numbers were removed but not the name is this common?

Please post photos of back and tags.
Though it's somewhat common for the Padres to have jerseys with names and no numbers (ready for player call up), being that it is a match is odd. Is there an outline of the numbers?
It is my understanding that the camouflage jerseys were stripped of names and used by the Tucson Padres.
