Glad you like the La Premera GU Ball.
Any idea of the value?

Re: The Official SAN DIEGO PADRES GU Thread
Jerry,
It's tough to put a value on it due to it being game prepared. I do know that an executive with the Padres sold about a half dozen NIB La Primera Serie baseballs a few years back on eBay. If my memory serves me correctly they were selling anywhere from $75-$150.
It's a rare ball for sure but not impossible to find. It took me a few years but I eventually found one for my collection. However, I had to settle for one with an autograph on it. I believe it's the first baseball with multi-colored laces to be used in a official regular season game. If you ever wanted to sell it you wouldn't have any shortage of buyers and I think it would do well on eBay. I know I'd make a strong run at it!
Cheers,
Joe
P.s. If you care to share where you found this beauty at I'd love to hear.

Re: The Official SAN DIEGO PADRES GU Thread
R.C., that is a fantastic jersey!! One of my first childhood memories of baseball was Andre Dawson chasing Show around Wrigley after Show beaned him in the head. I have searched for the past few years for the right Show item to add to my collection and they are hard to come by. Thank you for sharing!
By the way, if anyone here hasn't seen the ESPN special "The Tortured Life of Eric Show" you are missing out! Below is a link to the commentary of the ESPN special, Show's life was certainly a very interesting one and you can't help but feel sorry for him.
