eBay - Julian Javier GU Rookie Bat
Anyone have any reactions/comments to this eBay auction? I'm just getting familiar with modern day items so am curious how collectors get comfortable with the authenticity of something from back in 1960? Are their bat order records going back that far?

Thanks in advance for any help,
Adam

Re: eBay - Julian Javier GU Rookie Bat
The seller of that bat is very reputable. I've purchased at least a dozen bats from him over the years. In this case, the Javier bat looks to be from the 1961-64 era.
I've emailed the seller about it, and I also let him know about this thread.

Just a note for those who are unaware of the "Expert's Corner" section of GUU. The icon for this section is in the top menu towards the right. If you look through the blogs by Jim Caravello and Mike Specht, there are about 20 posted blogs that will help you gain a broad historical perspective on collecting game used bats, and will provide some very specific information that will prove helpful to you in the future.
